Here is how a normal dinner night goes at our house....
Around 5pm. I start to motivate and move towards the kitchen. About an hour later we eat dinner. After dinner, I go inside and start dishes and cleanup. M. usually is still outside finishing her "growing food" (a vegetable of some sort) while I am cleaning. The house rule is no dessert without eating your growing food. If she does not want dessert, she can take three bites and be done. Guess what? She eats a big pile of whatever I give her because dessert for my kid is never, ever to be missed. This process of her eating her growing food sometimes takes a bit of time. So, her dad sits outside with her.
I watch these two and wonder what the heck they talk about. I see laughing, gesturing and staring. Tonight I grabbed my camera and started clicking away.
The topic this evening? She asked her dad what was it like to have a mustache.
